IMGENEX India Pvt Ltd. the only biotech company in Orissa and one of its kinds in Eastern India. IMGENEX India started in Oct 2001 in a modest 2,000 square feet rented space as an outsourcing branch of IMGENEX Corporation, San Diego, USA. Dr. Sujay K Singh, PhD is the founder of this organization and current CEO.
Since its inception it has made great in-roads into India’s reputed research labs and biotech companies who use the antibodies produced by scientists at IMGENEX India, Bhubaneswar. Recently, IMGENEX India moved into a brand new 21,000 sqft modern R&D facility in a land leased from the Industrial Development Corporation (IDCO) of Orissa. This new state-of-the-art R&D laboratory was inaugurated by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the President of India on December 27, 2005.

IMGENEX India has built laboratories for development of approximately 500 polyclonal and 100 monoclonal antibodies per year. Adjacent to the R&D laboratory, we have built a 6,000 sqft animal house with a capacity for 1400 rabbits and 300 mice at any given time, which are used for development of antibodies and in-house research. These antibodies will be used world-wide for research relevant to cancer, neurological disorders, inflammatory diseases, infectious diseases, etc through our partner company IMGENEX Corporation in the USA. Scientists in India now need not depend on Western countries for their antibody needs. IMGENEX India staff includes well-qualified local scientists as well as scientists from other parts of India and foreign trained scientists.
